Wow, where to start? Things have been so busy with us, that I haven't done many updates this month. One thing, I'm sure you've already noticed is the new website...tried to make it look more punk rock, more like Joaquin!
Once Joaquin's story aired, it got a lot of exposure...UNTIL the Swine Flu scare!
We've had two EEG's since I last updated and things are looking fabulous! Just today, we received news that there is NO Seizure activity on his last EEG, done last Friday.
We are so happy, but also still taking it day by day...we are as of today at Day 18 with no seizures! It's the news we've been wanting to hear, but certianly wasn't expecting to hear for quite awhile.
In our house, we live by a great motto..."Good Things Happen to Good People". We are certainly trying to be good people, and trying to do what we can to give back.
Now that we are in a great place, I'll be able to focus more on our ideas we have for Epilepsy Awareness and put them into action! Keep checking back with us for more news!

Joaquin had an EEG on Friday, and we will know the results soon. This test was to see if there is seizure activity going on that we can't see. We've got our fingers crossed for a good outcome!

We were discharged from the hospital on Monday evening and have had a few days home to get back to normal. He hasn't had any more big seizures since this past Saturday and only a few staring spells each day.
Ghery, Joaquin, Maceo and I want to thank all of you for your over abundance of wishes and love. We truly appreciate it all.
We are doing the Epilepsy Walk this weekend at Reid Park and invite anyone to come out and join us. Registration is between 8:30am-9:30am and the walk is from 9:30am-11am.
Again, thank you all for your support!

Our dear Family and Friends....
Thank you all so much for thoughts and prayers.
Joaquin is doing great. He is currently at TMC hospital and is being monitored for seizure activity. The purpose for this is to better understand the type of seizures he is having and how to treat them.
Again, thank you all for your support. We are truly blessed to have such great friends and family.
Keep checking back for updates!
